Understand Our Mission

Everything you need to know about how Aid L’Shalom supports cancer patients and their families through integrative care.

Aid L’Shalom provides financial stipends to help cancer patients access adjunct therapies — supportive treatments that ease the physical and emotional side effects of chemotherapy and radiation. We also offer personalized referrals and nourishing, home-cooked meals designed for people undergoing cancer treatment.

Adjunct therapies are treatments used in addition to standard medical care. They don’t replace chemotherapy or radiation but help manage side effects such as fatigue, nausea, pain, anxiety, and immune suppression. Common adjunct therapies include high-dose Vitamin C drips, acupuncture and reflexology, nutritional support such as macrobiotic meals, and Haelan 951. Because these treatments are not covered by insurance, Aid L’Shalom steps in to help patients access them without added financial burden.

To apply, reach out through our website or phone line. A team member will guide you through the simple process, which includes submitting basic medical details. Every application is handled with compassion, dignity, and confidentiality.

Yes. In addition to financial assistance, we provide referrals to trusted professionals in fields like acupuncture, oncology nutrition, and integrative medicine. We make sure patients receive safe, appropriate, and individualized care that complements their medical treatment.

Haelan 951 is a fermented soy beverage often used as a nutritional supplement by cancer patients to support immune health, protect healthy cells, and reduce inflammation. Patients typically take it daily, under the guidance of a qualified health advisor or integrative practitioner.

High-dose intravenous Vitamin C therapy is used by some oncology teams to support the body during cancer treatment. Unlike oral Vitamin C, IV administration delivers much higher concentrations directly into the bloodstream. Potential benefits include reduced inflammation, less fatigue and nausea, improved immune response, and enhanced quality of life. These drips are administered by licensed oncologists or integrative cancer specialists.

We offer homemade macrobiotic meals crafted to meet the dietary needs of people undergoing chemotherapy or radiation. These meals are easy to digest, nutrient-rich and soothing, and delivered with care — designed to help patients regain strength and feel nourished during difficult times.

There are many meaningful ways to support our mission: Make a donation — your contribution directly helps cancer patients access vital therapies and meals. Sponsor a patient — cover the cost of a specific treatment or meal plan. Volunteer — join our network helping with deliveries, outreach, or event support. Spread the word — share our mission with friends, family, or on social media. Every act of support makes a real difference.
